Not to be self-cerebratory, it’s just we get excited for good feedbacks!
This time FACT featured Out-Er 010 from Santorini, Wax Not Wax EP, in the 2nd page of this recommended selection for March 2014. They dedicated really nice words to Santorini’s music tastes and proper descriptions for each track of the EP, including Conforce remix:
“‘Italian’ and ‘techno’ in the same sentence usually conjures dreadful thoughts of dry, brittle and soulless loop techno and/or v-neck t-shirt wearing tech-house tits, but not so when it comes to Santorini. Appearing on Outelectronic Recordings, his Wax Not Wax EP explores cavernous and punchy, shadowboxing-style techno on the title track; raging and broken beats on ‘Savy’; and celebratory, fist pumping stuff on “Ringtone.” A typically sub-aquatic and implicitly deep remix from Conforce rounds out a most useful package.”
Factmag was not the only music webzine attracted by Santorini’s work. XLR8R featured the record narrating Andrea Santoro’s music approach and Conforce’s re-interpretation, two producers well joined for this release.
Focusing on italian and german techno scenes, Local Suicide asked Andrea about his origins, music genres he likes and takes inspiration from, upcoming releases and gigs.
Also Mixmag spoke narrated the italian music work advising readers that is safe to listen to it, even if it comes from Italy, a nation not well seen in terms of music tastes: “Santorini is, surprise surprise, an Italian producer, one with 18 years’ worth of experience in DJing and almost the same amount of time spent on making his own music, so it’s safe to say he knows his stuff.”
We’re sure also Techoszene appreciates Santorini’s mood, we just can’t translate it: tell us in the comment if you’re from Germany. Just kidding, Out-Er trusts Technoszene and recognizes its authority!
